Saying goodbye seems to be the theme this week. We said goodbye to our families this past weekend at a going away party at my Uncle Ken's in the Chicago area. We were thankful to have a chance to see everybody before we go. It was very difficult to say goodbye...please pray for us, our kids, and our families as the reality sinks in...
We also said goodbye this week to our new friends we met here at Wheaton College during our 2nd Language training. Tomorrow we depart for Tennessee to visit with friends and Averi will say her last goodbyes to her favorite puppy, Latte and celebrate her 1st birthday. Anyone know a good recipe for a dog cake? Averi really wants to make her one.
We will arrive in Baton Rouge on Thursday night where we will finalize our packing and say some more goodbyes as we leave for California on Saturday at 5am.
We will be in California July 5-17 and then we will be off to Mongolia!!!
