Open Heavens has been a common theme in our time with God lately...Before Jesus' ministry, He rose to the challenge of God's ways for him and was baptized. Before he did anything God opened the heavens and proclaimed his love and favor on him. The same is now true for all of us who have truly received him and died to our ways in order to live for His glorious ways! He continues to pour out his favor on us. He opens the heavens and proclaims His love for us through so many miracles. We can't even count all the awesome things he has done for us over the last few months! Here are a couple testimonies:
How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news! This picture reminds me of fire on the mountains! Heaven coming to earth! May your Kingdom come Oh Lord! Reminds me of our few years in California...His anointing and revival fire in our hearts!We were praying about whether or not to go to Cali in February and God met with us in mighty ways! In the midst of our prayers, Josh (a friend of ours from our church in Cali and two Katrina missions trips) emailed us to say he'll be in Mongolia on a short-term trip in 2009. What?!!! Awesome!
The next day we talked to the Mongolian field directors and they excitedly told us there are 4 churches in N. Cali wanting to partner with Mongolia (pray, give, and go...send teams). They thought it would be great for us to connect with them, since our sending church (RKCC) is only 4 hours away from the churches in the Santa Rosa area.
We emailed the Cali churches the next day. We came to find out that the pastor of one of the churches "just so happens" to be our friend, Josh's dad! His dad wrote us and told us he knows of us from Josh and he would love to have us come speak at their churches! Talk about the hand of God!!! We couldn't have made any of this come together on our own. God is amazing!
We prayed about buying plane tickets for the next couple days. Sure enough, we got a check in the mail for the exact amount of the plane tickets!!! Our God is an Awesome God!
We will be visiting Cali Feb. 15-27 and speaking in Santa Rosa (and surrounding area) the 24th. We will also be visiting RKCC and the Stirring on the 17th.
This picture does no justice to the actual phenomenon or to the awesome word God spoke to us. While we were driving through TN, the millions of snowflakes were the size of quarters and the sun was shining so brightly we could barely see. We felt like we were in a dream. I sensed the Lord revealing to us that the snowflakes represent angels and all the people rallying around us and the sun represents God's glory...His heavens on earth!God is rallying an army of prayer warriors and financial supporters around us! We praise God for all your prayers!!! We are currently at 45% for our finances...PRAISE GOD IN HEAVEN!!! We also have some who have shared they want to give but aren't sure how much yet.
