My brother, Nick, is getting married a week from tomorrow! We leave for our trip to Michigan on Saturday, Dec 15th. We will spend a week with my family, then travel down to Indiana to visit Larry's family during Christmas, and then back to Louisiana to meet up with my brother and his new wife (Erika is moving in with Nick in the apartment next to ours)! They are moving down to Louisiana for the spring semester to help out with the ministry and Erika will be student teaching.
So much going on that there is the potential of getting all tied up! Please pray for peace and wisdom...that we would consider it pure joy whenever we face trials of many kinds because we know that the testing of our faith develops perseverance...so that we may be mature and complete not lacking anything. (James 1)Please pray:
- Safe travels and good weather and the VW making the trip without problems
- Mechanical soundness (Larry is working on the VW Bus right now. It needs a new exhaust pipe and hopefully we can get the Vegetable Waste Oil system working so we can travel gas-free!)
- Finances (The ministry grant has been delayed for 2.5 months...we just found out this morning they plan to wire salaries on Friday to get us through until the new year!!! Praise the Lord! Lots of trusting in God's provision the last couple months! God is always faithful!)
- Preparations before this trip and before Mongolia (lots to get accomplished for the ministry and our family before we leave for 2.5 weeks! The stressful one: we are trying to decide what to store at our parents when we leave for Mongolia...we are trying to take a load of stuff now and then in April when we leave Baton Rouge...PRAY FOR WISDOM! What to keep and what to give away...)
- Nick's wedding (lots of last minute preparations to be made...pray for peace and that the ceremony would be glorifying to God!)
