Embassy complete! We pick up our VISA today!!!!

Dibora and I getting all dolled up for our Embassy appointment :)  Thankfully, I convinced her that 2 barrettes would be enough for me when it was time to go!  Although.... after our experience at the Embassy window, I'm pretty sure the more barrettes the better!

The Embassy interview was surprisingly laid back!  Upon being called up after waiting for 30-45 minutes, Larry carried Dibora up to the window so she could be seen by those behind the glass.  Some ladies on the other side were in the background giggling and talking about how cute Dibora was in all her barrettes and her big smile.  The man asked us to raise our right hands and we all laughed as he shifted his big girl over to his other side.  We raised our hands and swore that everything was true and correct.  After noticing his name tag and realizing he was the VERY man that reconsidered our case and allowed us to come 3 weeks early, we thanked him immensely for all his quick correspondence and cooperation!

I can't even express how wonderful it was to thank him in person!  We prayed and prayed that the person going over her case would be moved my the Spirit of compassion.  OH thank G*d he was!
When the Embassy asked to interview the lady that brought Dibora to the orphanage on April 2nd, we explained that very difficult circumstances may hinder her from coming down.  So they chose to do a phone interview with a very friendly orphanage director instead!   This was a REALLY big miracle since most of the time there are no reconsiderations!!!

He lit up when he saw Dibora at the window and it was so refreshing to know that some of the people working in the Embassy really do have a heart for these kids!!  Now we are leaving Ethiopia on the VERY day that the original interview was supposed to be on!!!  We are arriving home on the day before we most likely would have been cleared if he didn't reconsider!  Amazing!

(Speedy Timeline for those interested: We got submitted to Embassy on March 8th, got an email that it was retrieved 2 weeks later, then only 3 days later got the email about the in-person interview.  We wrote back the same day to reconsider and they responded about the phone interview the next day... on Thursday.  Got cleared on Monday!!!  SO fast!  Even though it still felt like an eternity!  But knowing that many families wait at Embassy for 6+ weeks we are VERY thankful!)
