What's with the Building

So, we are settling here in Hovd visiting many new families, seeing, feeling, and hearing what the community and culture is telling us. We are thinking of displaying to the people of Hovd that we are committed to stay long term by establishing some roots in a building: A cultural center, a place for all our projects, a community center, fitness outreach, and an office.

We have many options and we would like to narrow them down. We understand that any of the options can and will be used for His Glory!

Option 1. There is a store front property in really good shape right on the main black top street of the Kazakh community that has running water, flushing toilets, and showers! It also has a garage, really nice vinyl windows, and a pretty sweet looking storage building. It has one big room and a few other rooms that a family would probably live in.
  • With purchasing this place we would need to look into renting or purchasing another place for one of our families here in Hovd, and potentially in need of building a garage for the fitness outreach.

Option 2. The 5-5 building, pictured above, is also located on a black top road in the middle of the Kazakh Community. It is larger then the store front property with higher ceilings, but this building would take quite a bit of work to get it remodeled the way we envision it.
  • With purchasing this place we would need to look into renting or purchasing another place for one of our families here in Hovd, but we would not need to build a garage for the fitness outreach.

Option 3. A big lot with one really unfinished building (think blocks) and one small two to three room home that is finished on the outside. The lot seems to be pretty big, but we are still unclear on the exact size. The location is on blacktop located half mile from the river and across the street from the Manchurian wall (only tourist attraction in Hovd), but it is also the furthest from the Kazakhs. It is on the same street as the city square, but about a half mile from it and doesn't receive much traffic flow. It is a beautiful area, but not as central as the other options.
  • With purchasing this place we would need to look into renting or purchasing another place for one of our families here in Hovd, and in need of building a garage for the fitness outreach.
