Mongolia!

Many of you may know that we are praying about serving in Mongolia. We are not sure when...Normally missionary candidates depart for Mongolia in August. We will still have one month committment left in Baton Rouge and our Adoption Process may not be finished. If our adoption is finished there is a better chance that we could go straight to Mongolia from Baton Rouge. -OR- We may depart to the Philippines in November next fall. -OR- If more funding is available we may stay in Louisiana for another year and then go to Mongolia...??? We put it all in Gods hands.

We are VERY excited about Mongoia. The culture seems to fit us very well! We would be doing Community Development with CAMA Services (click on CAMA link to find out more about the work in Mongolia -OR- click on C&MA and search for Missionaries in Mongolia to view their blogs and find out more specific information about the families there.) There are quite a few young families serving in Mongolia with children right around Averiana's age, which I (Krista) am most excited about. The women are in dire need as a result of the alcoholism among the male population. Lots of women and children are stranded and are desperate for help and the love of Jesus. I have been called to serve mothers and children so this also fits with my calling. Larry loves the terrain and the nomadic culture. Perfect for the naturalist hippy within! Averiana loves the horses. One of the missionary's daughters (a year older than Averi) owns a horse! Averiana hopes to have a pet horse as well! Please be praying about this opportunity! The field in Mongolia is in need of a Missionary family yesterday so the sooner we can get over there the better. Thank you for your prayers!!!!
