Well, I was on the channel 7 News tonight (Feb. 3)...kind of weird, eh? Some information got edited out quite a bit (God and the Philippines), but hopefully people can see that these efforts to aid our brothers and sisters in Louisiana are from the guiding of the Lord.
Also, I'm not sure how going to the Philippines in May unless the Lord orchestrates and guides us in another direction, which is possible...turned into me "expecting to stay in Louisiana for up to two-years". There is a chance that we could stay in Louisiana or the surrounding area if asked by the C&MA, but it if definitely has to be God's will. So here is an area that we need prayer, guidance for which direction we are supposed to go. Both are good, and both are an amazing opportunity to serve. And staying in Louisiana doesn't mean the Philippines won't happen.
My interest are in both directions, but the Philippines has been my heart and focus for about the last two-years.
But hey that's the news...at least the word got out that we are taking supplies to aid in the Katrina Relief efforts, which hopefully spurs people into action to make more suitcases of hope.
Overall, what an amazing blessing that the Katrina Team members got to be on the News and spread the word that Louisiana is still in a great need of aid.
